Missile Vehicle Squad Guide (Season 2)
Missiles in Season 2: More Essential Than Ever
The Aircraft meta continues to dominate in Season 2, and Carlie's Exclusive Weapon makes Aircraft even stronger. That means Missile squads are more important than ever. Every alliance needs Missile players to break through Aircraft-garrisoned cities and defend against Aircraft rallies. If your alliance lacks Missile coverage, you will lose every engagement against Aircraft-heavy opponents.
Carlie's Exclusive Weapon makes Aircraft tougher to fight, but the combat triangle still holds. Missiles still counter Aircraft. Tesla's energy damage and Fiona's Radiation DoT still shred DVA-led squads. Your role has not changed — if anything, the demand for Missile players in your alliance has increased because there are more Aircraft squads to counter.
What Changed from Season 1
No New Missile Upgrades
Season 2 does not introduce new Missile heroes, UR promotions, or Exclusive Weapons. Your formation is identical to Season 1:
- Adam and McGregor front row
- Tesla, Fiona, and Swift back row
- All Season 1 Exclusive Weapons carry forward
- Fiona's Exclusive Weapon arrives in Season 5 — long-term shard collection continues
Stronger Aircraft Opponents
Carlie's Exclusive Weapon means the Aircraft squads you counter are now tougher:
- Aircraft front lines survive longer with Carlie's HP and Defence boost
- DVA with Energy Master continues to be devastating
- The Murphy Exception with Level 30 weapons on both Murphy and DVA is the strongest PvP squad in the game
- Your counter advantage still holds, but well-built Aircraft squads are harder to kill quickly
Temperature and Rare Soil Combat
Season 2's internal server combat means Missile squads have a specific role:
- Breaking Aircraft city garrisons — when enemy alliances garrison dig sites with Aircraft, Missiles are the correct rally type
- Defending against Aircraft rallies — garrison your alliance's captured cities with Missile squads to deter Aircraft attackers
- Temperature management applies — a Missile player locked out at -20C cannot counter anything
The Squad: Season 2 Formation
The formation is unchanged from Season 1.
Carlie's Exclusive Weapon actually helps Fiona indirectly. A tougher Carlie survives longer in the front row, which gives Fiona's Radiation DoT more time to stack. Radiation scales with fight duration — longer fights mean more Radiation damage. The stronger Aircraft tanks become, the more value Fiona extracts from extended engagements.
Playing Missiles in Season 2
Breaking Aircraft City Garrisons
This is your primary job in Season 2. When enemy alliances garrison dig sites or cities with Aircraft squads:
- Tesla's Lightning Chain shreds Aircraft defensive stats — his energy damage bypasses physical armour
- Fiona's Radiation DoT stacks on Aircraft tanks, dealing increasing damage over time
- Rally with confidence against Aircraft garrisons — the type advantage is decisive
- Scout before rallying — confirm the garrison is Aircraft before committing your daily capture attempt
Garrison Defence Against Aircraft
Your Missile squad in garrison deters Aircraft attackers:
- An Aircraft rally hitting a Missile garrison takes massive losses
- Garrison high-value dig sites with your Missile squad to protect Rare Soil production
- Coordinate with your alliance — rotate garrison duty with other Missile players
- Enemy Aircraft players will often skip Missile-garrisoned locations entirely
Beast Crisis Contribution
Missile squads contribute sustained damage to Beast Crisis defence:
- Tesla's Lightning Chain deals strong energy damage against Beast Crisis waves
- Fiona's Radiation stacks effectively against high-HP Beast Crisis enemies
- Coordinate with Tank players — they hold the front while you deal damage from behind
- Your energy damage complements Tank physical damage for well-rounded wave clear
Temperature Awareness
The same temperature rules apply to Missile players:
- Maintain your furnace — a locked-out Missile player cannot counter Aircraft
- Stay near heat sources — do not teleport away from your Alliance Furnace
- Prioritise Beast Crisis defence — losing the Alliance Furnace hurts your temperature and your alliance's combat capability
Hero Investment Priority (Season 2)
With no new Missile upgrades, Season 2 is about completing Season 1 goals:
Preparing for Later Seasons
- Season 5 brings Fiona's Exclusive Weapon and Venom's UR Promotion — these transform Missile squads into a top-tier option
- Continue collecting Fiona shards — you need a large stockpile for her weapon
- Maintain your Aircraft secondary squad if you have one — DVA only gets stronger
- The gap between Missiles and Aircraft closes over time — your early investment compounds
