Sky Battlefront in Season 2

By Season 2, your alliance has two full seasons of progression behind it. Exclusive Weapons are approaching Level 30 across most squad members. Carlie's new Exclusive Weapon adds durability to Aircraft rally teams. War Buildings at Furnace Level 30 add +15% damage. Your rallies hit harder, survive longer, and your coordination should be sharp.

Season 2 Power Spike

Season 2 is the first season where most competitive alliances have fully maxed Exclusive Weapons AND War Building bonuses. This creates a massive damage increase over Season 1. If your alliance could clean shield-break in Season 1, you can now push for faster clears and higher damage thresholds. If you struggled with shield-breaks before, the extra damage may push you over the threshold.

What Is Different in Season 2

Maxed Exclusive Weapons Across the Board

In Season 1, most carries had weapons at Level 15-25. By Season 2:

  • Most carries should have weapons at Level 25-30
  • DVA's Energy Master at Level 30 is devastating rally DPS
  • Kimberly's Rocket Shadow at Level 30 provides massive AoE damage
  • Carlie's Exclusive Weapon (new in Season 2) improves Aircraft rally team survivability — her improved HP and Defence mean Aircraft rally teams survive longer in the engagement
  • Murphy's Mitigation Master at Level 30 keeps rally front lines alive through extended fights

War Building Damage Bonus

Players at Furnace Level 30 with active War Buildings gain +15% damage for their squad type:

  • This applies to Sky Battlefront rallies — members with War Buildings contribute significantly more damage
  • Prioritise rally spots for members who have War Buildings active
  • The +15% buff is multiplicative with gear and weapon bonuses — the total damage increase is substantial

Temperature Considerations

Sky Battlefront requires positioning near the airship. Temperature adds a logistics layer:

  • Ensure you are above -20C before the event — you need to teleport to the rally staging area
  • Check that the staging area has heat coverage — is it within Alliance Furnace range? Near a captured city?
  • Cold Wave overlap could prevent members from teleporting to the event — plan around Cold Wave schedules

Season 2 Rally Compositions

Support / CCSchuyler for stuns, Marshall for damage buffs

Carlie's Weapon in Rally Context

Carlie's Exclusive Weapon changes Aircraft rally team composition:

  • With weapon at Level 20+, Carlie is a legitimate front-line tank for Aircraft rallies
  • This frees Murphy to lead Tank rallies or garrison duty while Aircraft rallies still have a durable front line
  • For alliances with multiple Aircraft rally teams, this means more rally teams can field strong front lines simultaneously
Rally Leader Selection in Season 2

Your rally leader should be your highest-damage player with a maxed Exclusive Weapon AND an active War Building. The War Building +15% buff multiplied by Level 30 weapon damage creates significantly higher rally damage than either bonus alone. If you have a DVA with Energy Master at Level 30 and an Aircraft War Building, she should be leading rallies.

Season 2 Shield-Break Strategy

With maxed weapons and War Buildings, shield-break approaches can be more aggressive:

Season 2 Defence Improvements

Your alliance is also better at defending against the enemy Sky Predator:

  • Murphy with Mitigation Master at Level 30 in garrison makes bases extremely durable against airship attacks
  • Carlie with Exclusive Weapon provides a strong defensive alternative when Murphy is unavailable
  • War Building defensive benefits — the +15% damage applies to your defensive engagements too
  • Higher Wall Durability from upgraded HQ levels and furnace virus resistance
  • Gold gear at 2-4 stars means bases survive more hits before needing repairs

Common Season 2 Sky Predator Mistakes

  1. Not prioritising War Building holders for rally spots — the +15% buff is significant. Furnace 30 members should rally first
  2. Temperature lockout preventing event participation — check your temperature and coal reserves before the event
  3. Underestimating your damage — if you are breaking shields easily, coordinate to skip them entirely
  4. Not using Carlie's weapon to field more rally teams — her weapon frees Murphy for other duties while maintaining Aircraft rally durability
  5. Poor rally timing — the 5-second coordination rule still applies. Maxed weapons do not fix bad timing
  6. Forgetting Rush Phase donations — still the most common mistake across all seasons
  7. Pulling garrison troops without replacing them — unguarded dig sites during Sky Battlefront invite enemy captures
