Alliance Duel VS (Season 2)
VS in Season 2
Alliance Duel VS follows the same 6-day structure in Season 2. The format has not changed, but the context around it has. Your alliance is managing furnace upgrades, Coal stockpiles, and Rare Soil production simultaneously. Saving resources for VS competes with Season 2's constant resource demands. Day 6 combat features even stronger squads with Carlie's Exclusive Weapon and maxed Season 1 weapons.
For the full day-by-day mechanics, see the Alliance Duel VS Guide.
Season 2 creates a genuine tension between VS preparation and season resource management. Saving speedups for Day 5 is harder when furnace upgrades demand those same speedups. Coal gathering takes march slots. Titanium Alloy production competes for building queues. The discipline to save for VS must coexist with the urgency of furnace progression. Both matter — plan for both.
What Is Different in Season 2
Temperature Does Not Affect VS Directly
VS combat happens within the Alliance Duel interface and is not subject to the -20C lockout. You can participate in VS even if your base temperature is low. However:
- Day 6 field combat IS affected by temperature — if you need to rally on the open map, temperature applies
- Resource gathering for VS preparation may be interrupted by temperature-related constraints
- Beast Crisis may overlap with VS week — manage your time and troops carefully
Stronger Squads Everywhere
Season 2 squads are significantly stronger than Season 1:
- Carlie's Exclusive Weapon makes Aircraft even more dominant on Day 6
- Most carries have Exclusive Weapons at Level 20-30
- More players have 2-4 star gear with some approaching Mythic
- War Buildings provide an additional +15% damage buff for players at Furnace 30
Resource Saving Is Harder
Season 2's resource demands make the VS saving discipline more challenging:
- Speedups are split between furnace upgrades, building progression, and VS Day 5
- Training resources compete with coal gathering for march slots
- Building upgrades for Day 2 compete with furnace upgrade timing
- The solution is planning — decide at the start of each VS week what gets saved and what gets used
Aircraft Meta Continues on Day 6
Day 6 combat in Season 2 features the same meta as Season 1 but amplified:
- Carlie's Exclusive Weapon makes Aircraft front lines tougher
- Murphy Exception at Level 30 weapons is nearly unkillable
- Missile counter-squads are even more essential — every alliance needs Missile players for Day 6
- Type-matching determines outcomes more than ever
Season 2 Day Priority
Season 2 Day 5 Strategy
Day 5 remains your most consistent win condition, but saving is harder:
- Save ALL speedups Monday through Thursday — this is harder with furnace upgrade pressure. Commit to the discipline
- Do not use speedups on furnace upgrades during VS week — push furnace upgrades to the week before or after VS
- Use the waterfall training strategy — train at lowest tier, upgrade through tiers for repeated points
- T10 promotions earn the most points — if your barracks support the waterfall chain, use it
- Coordinate alliance-wide — everyone saves, everyone trains on Friday
Season 2 Day 6 Strategy
Type-Matched Combat (Updated for Carlie's Weapon)
War Building Advantage
On Day 6, players with Furnace Level 30 and active War Buildings have a +15% damage advantage:
- If you have War Buildings and your opponent does not, be aggressive — the damage gap is significant
- If your opponent has War Buildings and you do not, be cautious — consider strategic shielding
- War Buildings do not affect VS Arena combat, only open-map fighting
When to Shield
Shield members who cannot compete against opponents with maxed Exclusive Weapons and War Buildings. The power gap between invested and uninvested players is wider in Season 2. Troop losses are expensive to replace — T10 troops have high training costs and you need coal, titanium, and other resources for furnace progression. Protect the weak, concentrate combat in the strong.
Season 2 Preparation Checklist
Common Season 2 VS Mistakes
- Using speedups on furnace during VS week — save all speedups for Day 5. Push furnace upgrades to non-VS weeks
- Not adapting to Carlie's Exclusive Weapon on Day 6 — Aircraft is even stronger. Make sure you have Missile counter-picks
- Ignoring War Building advantage — the +15% damage buff creates significant power gaps on Day 6
- Treating VS as lower priority than Rare Soil — VS rewards compound weekly. Both matter
- Not scouting for Murphy Exception — the Murphy Exception still counts as Aircraft for type matching. Do not send Tanks against it
- Forgetting that furnace upgrades count for Day 2 — time your furnace upgrades for Tuesday to earn VS points
