Gear in Season 3
By Season 3, your primary squad should have all 20 gold gear pieces at Level 40 with significant star promotion progress. Many competitive players will have 1-2 Mythic pieces. The gear focus in Season 3 is on gearing Scarlett (for Tank players integrating her), continuing star promotion toward Mythic, and managing gear across squads for Spice Wars demands.
If your primary squad is not fully gold-geared by Season 3, you are significantly behind. Catch up immediately using the craft orders from the Pre-Season 1 Gear Guide. Season 3 gear progression assumes a complete gold set with star promotion underway.
What Changed from Season 2
Scarlett Needs Gear
Tank players integrating Scarlett (UR-promoted) into their formation need to gear her. This is the primary new gear investment for Season 3:
- Scarlett's defensive role means Radar first, then Armor — she needs to survive, not deal damage
- If she is replacing Williams or Stetmann, their gear may be partially transferable depending on type compatibility
- New gear crafts for Scarlett should follow the standard defensive hero priority
Star Promotion Continues
The star promotion path from Season 2 continues unchanged:
- Push carry weapons (Kimberly's Gun, DVA's Gun, Tesla's Gun) toward 4-star and Mythic
- Main tank defensive pieces (Murphy's Radar, Murphy's Armor) should be at 2-star minimum
- Continue even distribution after key pieces hit their breakpoints
Spice Wars Gear Check
Spice Wars PvP twice per week means your gear matters every Wednesday and Saturday:
- Garrison defence rewards defensive gear on your tanks — Radar and Armor star promotions provide huge survivability
- Offensive rallies benefit from carry weapon star promotion — higher star Guns deal dramatically more damage against garrisons
- Desert Protectors do not use your gear — they have their own stats. Your gear matters for your heroes, not your Protectors
Exclusive Weapon Interaction
Marshall's new Exclusive Weapon interacts with gear the same way previous weapons do:
- Marshall's Gun star promotion now multiplies through his weapon buff
- Higher star gear on Marshall means his weapon-enhanced buffs are even stronger
- Marshall's gear priority rises compared to Season 2 because of this multiplicative interaction
Star Promotion Priority (Season 3)
For Tank Squads
For Aircraft and Missile Squads
The star promotion priorities from Season 2 continue unchanged:
- Aircraft: DVA's Gun toward Mythic, Murphy/Carlie's defensive pieces to 4-star, then remaining pieces
- Missile: Tesla's Gun toward Mythic, Adam's Radar to 4-star, Fiona's Gun to 4-star, then remaining pieces
- No new hero additions to these squads in Season 3 — focus on deepening existing gear
Gearing Scarlett (Tank Players)
If you are adding Scarlett to your Tank formation, here is the craft order for her gear:
If Scarlett is replacing Williams or Stetmann, evaluate whether their gear can transfer. Tank gear is type-compatible across Tank heroes. If Williams' Radar and Armor are at Level 40 with star promotion, you can move them to Scarlett and craft new pieces for Williams (who moves to a reserve role). This saves significant crafting resources.
Mythic Progression Update
By Season 3, Mythic (5-star) gear should be achievable for your carry's primary weapon:
Where You Should Be
- Competitive players: 1-2 Mythic pieces (carry's Gun and possibly Chip)
- Moderate players: carry's Gun at 4-star approaching Mythic
- Catching up: carry's Gun at 2-star, working toward 4-star

Common Season 3 Gear Mistakes
- Not gearing Scarlett if she is in your formation — an undergeared UR hero is worse than a geared SSR hero
- Ignoring Marshall's gear with his new weapon — his Gun star promotion now has multiplicative value
- Not prioritising defensive gear for Spice Wars — garrison defence needs durable tanks, not just DPS
- Continuing to invest in Williams' gear after replacing him with Scarlett — redirect resources to the hero you are actually using
- Neglecting star promotion for Mythic chasing — balanced 4-star across key pieces outperforms one Mythic piece and several 0-stars
- Not buying Honor Shop Legendary Blueprints — still the best value across all seasons
