Missile Vehicle Squad Guide (Season 3)
Missiles in Season 3: The Faction Warfare Counter
Missile squads remain the essential Aircraft counter in Season 3. With Spice Wars running twice weekly and the Faction Duel looming in Week 7, your alliance needs Missile players more than ever. Aircraft dominance in Spice Wars offence means Missile defenders are critical for protecting your faction's buildings and Spice.
In Spice Wars, your Missile squad is your faction's shield against enemy Aircraft attacks. While Aircraft squads crack buildings on offence, Missile squads hold the line on defence. A garrison with Tesla and Fiona will destroy incoming Aircraft rallies. Every faction needs Missile players — if your faction is short on them, you are giving the enemy free buildings every round.
What Changed from Season 2
Spice Wars Demand
The biggest change for Missiles in Season 3 is the context, not the squad itself:
- Spice Wars runs Wednesday and Saturday — your Missile squad needs to be ready twice per week
- Enemy Aircraft squads are the primary offensive threat in Spice Wars — you are the answer
- Garrison defence with Missile squads punishes Aircraft attackers severely
- Faction Duel in Week 7 is the culmination — your anti-Aircraft capability may decide the outcome
More Exclusive Weapons in the Meta
By Season 3, most competitive players have multiple Exclusive Weapons. For Missiles, this means:
- Enemy Aircraft squads hit harder (DVA's Energy Master, Carlie's weapon) — but you still counter them
- The type advantage remains decisive even with weapon-enhanced opponents
- Tesla's energy damage bypasses the physical defence boosts that weapons provide to enemy tanks
- Your own weapons (Tesla's Lightning Enhancement) should be at Level 20+ from previous seasons
Desert Protectors
Desert Protectors add tactical depth to Missile combat:
- On defence: Your garrison supplemented with Desert Protectors is nearly impossible for Aircraft to crack
- On offence: Missiles can assault Tank-defended buildings with Protector support
- Troop losses generate Protectors — fighting PvE content between Spice Wars rounds builds your Protector reserves
- Fiona's Radiation DoT is effective against Protector-reinforced targets over extended engagements
Curse Resistance for PvE
CR gates Season 3 PvE content. For Missile squads:
- Tesla's energy damage is excellent against season monsters when the rally leader's CR meets the threshold
- Join rallies led by high-CR players — see the Curse Resistance Guide
- Missile PvE participation generates Protectors from troop losses
The Squad: Season 3 Formation
The Missile formation remains stable. Tesla and Fiona are still the core, and no Season 3 hero changes directly affect the Missile lineup:
Playing Missiles in Season 3
Spice Wars Defence (Your Primary Job)
Garrison defence against Aircraft is where Missiles excel:
- Station your Missile squad at key buildings — the Alliance Center or high-priority secondary buildings
- Tesla's energy damage shreds incoming Aircraft squads — even DVA with Energy Master gets destroyed by a well-built Tesla garrison
- Fiona's Radiation stacks punish attackers who commit to extended garrison fights
- Supplement with Desert Protectors — your garrison plus Protectors is devastating against Aircraft attacks
- Coordinate with your alliance — know which buildings you are defending before Spice Wars starts
Spice Wars Offence
Missiles can contribute on offence against Tank-defended buildings:
- Target buildings garrisoned by Tank squads — you have the type advantage, Tanks counter you poorly when you hit them on offence
- Avoid buildings garrisoned by Tank squads on defence — wait, Tanks counter you. Scout to confirm the garrison type
- Rally with your faction — concentrated Missile force plus Protectors can overwhelm Tank defences
- Be selective — your primary value is on defence. Only attack when the opportunity is clear
Against Desert Protectors
Enemy Desert Protectors in garrisons add challenge:
- Fiona's Radiation DoT is effective against high-HP Protectors because it scales with time
- Tesla's energy damage bypasses physical defence that Protectors may have
- Rally rather than solo attack — Protectors are 10x stronger and require concentrated force
PvE and Protector Generation
Fight CR-gated PvE content between Spice Wars rounds:
- Tesla's Lightning Chain deals excellent damage against season monsters
- Troop losses from PvE generate Desert Protectors for your next Spice Wars defence
- Tuesday and Friday are your Protector refill days — top off before Wednesday and Saturday
Hero Investment Order (Season 3)
1. Tesla (Maintenance)
Tesla should be heavily invested from previous seasons:
- Lightning Enhancement at Level 20+, push toward Level 30
- Continue starring up — higher stars amplify his already-strong damage
- 4+ stars with gold gear is the Season 3 standard
2. Fiona (Rising Priority)
Fiona becomes more important in Season 3 as fights last longer in Spice Wars:
- Radiation stacks have more time to build during garrison battles
- ATK Tactics cards remain highest priority
- Continue collecting shards for her Exclusive Weapon (Season 5) — long-term investment
- Push gun star promotion for ATK scaling
3-5. McGregor, Swift, Adam (Maintenance)
Continue maintenance-level investments as resources allow.
Preparing for Season 5
Season 5 brings Fiona's Exclusive Weapon and Venom's UR Promotion — the biggest Missile upgrades since Tesla:
- Collect Fiona shards aggressively — her weapon transforms the Missile squad
- Continue investing in Tesla — he only gets stronger with more stars and weapon levels
- Your Season 3 Missile investment compounds — the squad improves dramatically in later seasons
