Zombie Siege in Season 3

Zombie Siege continues its regular schedule in Season 3. Your alliance has the strongest squads yet — Scarlett UR, Marshall with Exclusive Weapon, multiple weapon-equipped heroes, and higher star-promoted gear. The key Season 3 addition is Desert Protectors, which serve as powerful reinforcement troops for weaker bases.

For the full event mechanics, see the Zombie Siege Guide.

CR Does Not Affect Zombie Siege

Curse Resistance has no effect on Zombie Siege. Zombies are not Season 3 PvE content — they are a persistent event that uses standard combat stats. Your Virus Resistance, hero power, gear, and troop quality are what matter here. Do not confuse CR-gated content with Zombie Siege.

What Is Different in Season 3

Desert Protectors as Reinforcements

This is the headline change for Zombie Siege in Season 3. Desert Protectors can be used as reinforcement troops:

  • Protectors are 10x stronger than regular troops — a small number of Protectors can hold a weak base through late waves
  • Send Protectors to bases that would otherwise fail — their combat power is enormous for the garrison
  • Protectors are consumed in battle — once they die defending a base, they are gone. Budget accordingly
  • This is not free — every Protector spent in Zombie Siege is one less Protector for Spice Wars
Protector Budget for Zombie Siege

Only spend Desert Protectors in Zombie Siege if you can replenish them before the next Spice Wars round. Spice Wars determines your Season 3 ranking. Zombie Siege provides useful rewards but does not affect rankings. If Zombie Siege falls on Wednesday or Saturday (Spice Wars days), do not deplete Protectors for Zombie Siege.

Stronger Individual Defences

By Season 3, individual base defences are dramatically stronger:

  • Scarlett UR adds a powerful Tank hero to garrison formations
  • Marshall's Exclusive Weapon boosts your entire garrison's damage through team buffs
  • Murphy's Mitigation Master continues to be the best garrison hero in the game
  • Star-promoted gear means higher base stats across the board
  • Most members should be able to solo through waves 1-12+ without reinforcement

Smaller Power Gaps (Further Reduced)

The gap between your strongest and weakest members continues to shrink:

  • Three seasons of investment means even casual players have functional squads
  • More members survive deeper into waves without reinforcement
  • Fewer members need early reinforcement — concentrate help on the true stragglers

Season 3 Difficulty Selection

Alliance StrengthRecommended Difficulty
Full gold gear, multiple Exclusive WeaponsHigh. Most members clear waves 1-12 solo. Reinforcement only needed for late waves
Strong core with star-promoted gearHighest available. Murphy and Scarlett garrisons are nearly invincible. Push for maximum rewards
Mixed strength (some newer members)High. Use Desert Protectors to carry weak members through waves 15+

Season 3 Reinforcement Strategy

Desert Protector Reinforcement

The most efficient reinforcement method in Season 3:

  1. Identify the weakest 3-5 members before the event
  2. Assign Protector senders — your strongest players who can solo all 20 waves without Protectors
  3. Send Protectors at wave 10-12 — before weak members start failing
  4. A small Protector force is enough — their 10x stats mean even 50-100 Protectors dramatically change the outcome
  5. Do not send all your Protectors — budget for Spice Wars

Traditional Hero Reinforcement

Standard reinforcement remains effective alongside Protectors:

  • Murphy with Mitigation Master is still the best reinforcement hero
  • Scarlett UR is a strong second reinforcement option — she can tank independently
  • Marshall with Exclusive Weapon boosts the entire defending garrison's damage
  • If your base can survive solo, send your heroes to help weaker members

Combined Approach

For maximum reinforcement effectiveness:

  1. Send Desert Protectors for raw combat power — they do the heavy lifting
  2. Send Murphy for survivability — his mitigation protects the garrison
  3. Send Marshall for damage — his weapon-enhanced buffs make the entire garrison fight harder
  4. Together, a Protector + Murphy + Marshall reinforcement can carry almost any base through all 20 waves
Wave RangeSeason 3 Reinforcement Action
Waves 1-10Most members handle these solo. Only reinforce truly weak members at wave 8-9
Waves 11-15Send Desert Protectors and hero reinforcements to struggling members. Murphy + Protectors is the ideal package
Waves 16-20All remaining reinforcements to the weakest survivors. These waves are significantly harder at higher difficulty

Season 3 Garrison Formations

Tank Garrison (Strongest Defence)

  • Front: Murphy (Mitigation Master) and Scarlett (UR)
  • Back: Kimberly (Rocket Shadow), Mason, Marshall (Exclusive Weapon)
  • Marshall's weapon buffs amplify the entire garrison's zombie-killing output

Aircraft Garrison (Burst Defence)

  • Front: Murphy (Exception) or Carlie (with weapon), Lucius
  • Back: DVA (Energy Master), Morrison, Schuyler
  • DVA can burst down high-priority zombie threats before they reach your wall

Missile Garrison (Energy Damage)

  • Front: Adam, McGregor
  • Back: Tesla (Lightning Enhancement), Fiona, Swift
  • Tesla's energy damage shreds high-HP zombie waves effectively

Season 3 Preparation Checklist

  1. Set your defence squad — strongest formation with Exclusive Weapons equipped
  2. Check Desert Protector budget — can you afford to spend some? When is the next Spice Wars?
  3. Coordinate reinforcement assignments — who sends Protectors, who sends heroes, who receives help
  4. Recall all troops and heal all wounded
  5. Stay online for communication — report wave status so reinforcements arrive on time

Common Season 3 Zombie Siege Mistakes

  1. Depleting Desert Protectors before Spice Wars — always budget Protectors for Wednesday/Saturday
  2. Not using Protectors when you can afford them — if you have a surplus and Spice Wars is days away, use them
  3. Sending Protectors too late — reinforce at wave 10-12, not wave 18 when the base is about to fall
  4. Confusing CR with Zombie Siege stats — CR does not affect this event. Standard combat power matters
  5. Not leveraging Marshall's weapon in garrison — his team-wide buff benefits all defending heroes
  6. Strong players not reinforcing — if you can solo all 20 waves, send your heroes and Protectors to help
