Marshal's Guard (Season 5)
Marshal's Guard in Season 5
Marshal's Guard in Season 5 features the highest damage output in the game's history. T11 troops, four new Exclusive Weapons on top of all previous ones, and Caffeine buffs from the Caffeine Institute combine to create rallies that would have been unimaginable in pre-season. If your alliance is not pushing the highest available difficulty, you are leaving rewards on the table.
For the full event mechanics, see the Marshal's Guard Guide.
If your alliance was clearing Level 11-12 in Season 4, you should be targeting Level 13-15+ in Season 5. Four new Exclusive Weapons (Fiona, Morrison, Stetmann, Venom UR), T11 troops, and Caffeine buffs make your rallies dramatically stronger. Every difficulty level increase improves rewards.
What Is Different in Season 5
Dramatically Higher Damage Output
The combined effect of all Season 5 additions:
- T11 troops provide the strongest base stats ever
- Four new Exclusive Weapons — Fiona's radiation amplification, Morrison's enhanced defence shred, Stetmann's AoE boost, Venom's UR kit
- All previous Exclusive Weapons at high levels after multiple seasons of investment
- Caffeine buffs — Skill Damage coffee multiplies all of the above
- Class-specific Bars — Tanker, Pilot, and Missileer Bars add further damage to their respective squad types
Caffeine-Timed Rallies
The Caffeine Institute adds a preparation step to Marshal's Guard:
- Brew Skill Damage coffee before the event starts — this is the highest-impact coffee for rally damage
- Ensure your class-specific Bar is upgraded for maximum bonus
- The VR component alone (+200 to +500) provides a significant baseline power increase
- Every rally member should have coffee active — officers must remind the alliance
Squad Diversity at Peak Strength
All three squad types are at their strongest in Season 5:
- Tank rallies — Murphy, Kimberly (weapon), Stetmann (new weapon), Marshall (weapon), Williams/Scarlett
- Aircraft rallies — Murphy Exception, DVA (weapon), Morrison (new weapon), Lucius, Schuyler
- Missile rallies — Adam, Venom (new UR), Fiona (new weapon), Tesla (weapon), Swift
Season 5 Difficulty Selection
The test: Clear all 5 tanks with more than 5 minutes remaining = safe to increase. Failing to clear = decrease by 1-2.
Season 5 Rally Strategy
Optimised Rally Rotation
With the strongest squads in the game's history, rally rotation can be aggressive:
- R5 and R4 officers start rallies — +5% and +2.5% damage bonuses
- Members with multiple weapon-equipped squads start with their weaker squad, join with their stronger
- All others join the shortest available rally
- Stagger starts by ~15 seconds — tighter than ever with stronger damage
- Cycle continuously for the full 30 minutes
Type-Matched Rallies
Use the combat triangle to maximise damage against each armoured tank:
Exclusive Weapon Impact on Rallies
Your rally leader should have the highest Exclusive Weapon level in their squad type. Murphy with Mitigation Master remains the ideal leader for survivability. But for pure damage, consider DVA with Morrison's weapon support, or Fiona with her new weapon. The leader's contribution is the largest — maximise it with the strongest available combination.
Season 5 Must-Do Checklist
Before every Marshal's Guard:
- Brew Skill Damage coffee — ensure it is active before the event starts and will last the full 30 minutes
- Donate construction parts to the Drill Field — +25% damage bonus. Non-negotiable
- Recall all deployed troops — nothing out on marches or Trade Train escort
- Equip your best gear and ALL Exclusive Weapons — including the four new Season 5 weapons
- Position your base near the platform — teleport if needed
- Set your rally squads — know which squad starts and which joins
- Heal all wounded troops — enter at full T11 strength
- Coordinate rally rotation before the event starts
Common Season 5 Marshal's Guard Mistakes
- Not pushing difficulty — clearing with 15+ minutes left means your difficulty is too low. Season 5 power levels are dramatically higher
- Forgetting to brew coffee — Skill Damage coffee before MG is the single easiest power increase available
- Not equipping new Season 5 weapons — Fiona's weapon, Morrison's weapon, Stetmann's weapon all contribute rally damage
- Skipping Drill Field donations — the +25% bonus is multiplicative with stronger base damage. More impactful than ever
- Deploying troops on Trade Train during MG — recall everything for the event
- Not leveraging all three squad types — Tank, Aircraft, and Missile rallies all hit different weaknesses at high difficulty
- Inefficient rally rotation — with stronger squads, there is less excuse for downtime between rallies
