Missiles in Season 6: Tesla Awakening

Season 6 brings the third Awakening to Missile squads: Tesla's Awakening unlocks in Week 6. Until then, Missile players run on the Season 5 baseline (Fiona's EW, Venom UR, Tesla's Inductive Current EW). After Week 6, Tesla becomes the squad's signature carry with even higher energy-damage output.

The Missile squad enters S6 already strong: Fiona's Season 5 EW transformed her into a top-tier carry, Venom's S5 UR promotion is established, T11 troops are baseline, and McGregor's taunt remains the foundation of Missile defence. Season 6 layers Tesla Awakening on top of all that.

Tesla Awakening Is the Season's Endpoint

Missile players have the longest runway in S6 — Tesla awakens Week 6. Use the time before then to push Tesla's Exclusive Weapon (Inductive Current) to Level 20+ if it's not there yet, accumulate Tesla shards from War Merit Shop and Global Expedition, and gear up for the moment Tesla's Awakening goes live. Missile is also a strong defensive squad in S6 — Adam's Counter Defense and Fiona's Radiation DoT shine in long City Destruction defences.

What Changed from Season 5

Tesla Awakening (Week 6) — The Headline

Tesla's Awakening unlocks in Week 6 of Season 6, replacing his Expertise Skill while inheriting its effects:

Scales his existing Inductive Current and Electric Grid Lockdown mechanics
Awakening adds Hero HP/ATK/DEF buffs per tier and a Damage Reduction component
Star progression beyond initial unlock continues to push the skill harder
The exact damage values and skill mechanics will appear in-game when your server reaches Week 6

Awakening prerequisites: Tesla at 5★, Tesla's Exclusive Weapon (Inductive Current) at Level 20+, and 50 named Tesla Awakening Shards. Use the time between Week 1 and Week 6 to push the EW level if needed and stockpile shards. See the Hero Awakening Guide.

Faction Warfare and Missile Defence

Season 6's faction warfare layers (Altars, City Destruction) make Missile's defensive strengths more valuable than ever:

Adam's Counter Defense — the longer a defence holds, the more counter-attack damage stacks. This is huge in extended City Destruction defences
McGregor's Unyielding Heart taunt — redirects rally damage onto your tankiest hero, perfect for holding Altars under pressure
Fiona's Radiation DoT — amplifies damage over the course of long fights, ideal for wearing down attackers before they reach 100%

Braz SSR→UR (Week 3-7)

Season 6's SSR→UR promotion is Braz. Window typically opens Week 3, closes around Week 7. See the SSR to UR Upgrade Guide. Braz's exact role within Missile compositions will clarify as the meta settles — check community recommendations on your server.

Fiona's Exclusive Weapon (From Season 5) Standard

Fiona's EW from Season 5 should be at Level 20+ by now. If not, this is your urgent priority — Fiona's Radiation DoT is what makes Missile squads decisive in long defensive holds.

Venom UR (From Season 5) Standard

Venom's UR promotion from Season 5 should be settled. If you missed the Season 5 promotion window, Venom is still an SSR; the next promotion opportunity may be in a future season.

Fungus Institute Buffs

The Fungus Institute is critical for Missile squads:

Missile-class faction buff provides Missile-specific bonuses on top of base faction buffs
Activate the Skill Damage faction buff amplifies Fiona's Radiation stacking and Tesla's Lightning Chain
Pairs exceptionally well with Fiona's Exclusive Weapon for devastating PvP burst
The +200 to +500 VR is non-negotiable — never fight without an active faction buff

Fiona Takes the Carry Seat

Fiona's Exclusive Weapon moves her from co-carry to primary carry. In previous seasons, Tesla was the undisputed Missile DPS. In Season 6, Fiona's amplified Radiation DoT deals more sustained damage than Tesla's Lightning Chain in most scenarios. Tesla remains essential for his energy damage and burst, but Fiona is now the hero you invest in first. Position her in the left back-row slot behind your strongest tank.

Alternative: Keeping McGregor

If your Venom is not yet UR-promoted or sufficiently invested:

Keep McGregor in the right front-row slot
Venom replaces McGregor once he reaches UR with functional gear and skills
All new investment should go toward Venom — he outscales McGregor at equivalent investment

Hero Investment Order (Season 6)

1. Fiona (First Priority — New)

Fiona's Exclusive Weapon makes her the top Missile investment:

Push Exclusive Weapon to Level 20 immediately, then Level 30
ATK Tactics cards are highest priority — Radiation scales directly off ATK
If you collected shards since Season 1, she should be at high stars already
Her Gun should be at Mythic tier if possible

2. Tesla (Second Priority)

Tesla remains essential as the co-carry:

Exclusive Weapon should be at Level 30
Continue star promotion and Mythic gear progression
His energy damage complements Fiona's physical damage perfectly

3. Venom (Third Priority — New)

Venom's UR promotion makes him the key new roster addition:

Promote to UR as soon as shards are available
Invest in damage skills and survivability
Gets gear after both carries are fully equipped
His UR stats make him worth the investment over McGregor long-term

4. Swift (Fourth Priority)

Support and utility unchanged:

Continue squad buff skill investment
Functional gear level

5. Adam (Fifth Priority)

Front-line tank:

Defensive skills and Radar for survivability
Enough investment to survive T11 combat

Playing Missiles in Season 6

Against Aircraft (Your Strength — Now Devastating)

With Fiona's Exclusive Weapon, you do not just counter Aircraft — you destroy them:

Fiona's amplified Radiation shreds Aircraft front lines — even Murphy Exception formations melt
Tesla's energy damage bypasses Aircraft defensive stats
Activate the Skill Damage faction buff from the Fungus Institute before hunting Aircraft
You are your alliance's primary answer to Aircraft squads in City Destruction attacks and city captures

Against Tanks (Your Weakness — Still Relevant)

Tanks still counter Missiles, and they have four Exclusive Weapons now:

Avoid Tank opponents when possible — Murphy's durability is higher than ever
Let your Aircraft teammates handle Tanks
If forced to fight, Fiona's Radiation DoT is your best chance — it stacks damage over time even against Williams' damage reduction

Altar Raids (Daily)

Missiles are excellent City Destruction attackers in Season 6:

Fiona's sustained damage wears down garrisons that Aircraft burst cannot one-shot
Tesla's energy damage bypasses physical-focused garrison defences
Scout the garrison type — attack Aircraft-garrisoned banks, avoid Tank-garrisoned ones
Use raided War Merit for War Merit Shop priorities
