Queen's Revenge Guide — Season 1 Post-Season Event

Events · 2026-07-07

What Is Queen's Revenge?

Queen's Revenge is the post-season event at the end of Season 1 (The Crimson Plague). Once the season's story chapter ends, the world does not simply switch off — the Crimson Queen strikes back, the map reopens for an off-season phase, and commanders keep fighting for rewards in the gap before the next season begins.

In the Season 1 story, the Lady in Red is revived and becomes the Crimson Queen, the season's central antagonist. Queen's Revenge is the finale beat: "The Queen furiously commands the Crimson Legion to strike back hard."

Player-Confirmed / Confirm In-Game

"Queen's Revenge" is the community name for the Season 1 post-season phase, and exact rules can differ by warzone and version. The mechanics below are drawn from the in-game post-season (off-season) system text; treat specific numbers and the event's exact in-game label as "confirm in-game" for your server, especially timing and reward details.

When Does It Happen — and Every Season?

Queen's Revenge runs in the off-season window between Season 1 and Season 2, starting once the Season 1 chapter ends (whether or not your alliance reached the final objective).

The theme is Season 1 specific — the Crimson Queen belongs to The Crimson Plague. Each season has its own antagonist and its own season-finale story (for example, Season 1 is "Crimson Plague – The Final Battle"), so the post-season phase recurs at the end of every season but is re-themed to that season's villain. Whether later seasons reuse the exact "Queen's Revenge" name or rename the event is best confirmed in-game when you reach that transition.

The Off-Season Bundle

When a chapter ends, a whole set of activities unlocks together — the post-season map changes below, plus the Champion Duel, Trade Fair, Business Giant and Alliance Duel. Queen's Revenge is the map/PvE side of that transition; Champion Duel is the PvP tournament side.

What Changes on the Map

When the chapter ends, the world map reopens for the off-season. The confirmed post-season changes are:

ChangeWhat It Means
Zombies respawnZombies respawn randomly across a level range — stay alert when moving on the world map
Cities become capturableLow-level cities can be captured again — the city you take must be connected to your alliance's territory
Boomers respawnBoomers respawn randomly and must be hunted down with rallied troops

Community guides describe Queen's Revenge specifically as a "Level 1 city" post-season event — the map effectively resets toward low-level cities and zombie activity, giving alliances a fresh land-grab and PvE target-rich window before Season 2.

How to Play It

  1. Keep a shield habit — the map is open PvP again; don't sit unshielded with a full army parked at home.
  2. Coordinate city captures — you can only take cities connected to alliance territory, so capture outward from your hive as a group.
  3. Rally the Boomers — they need rallied troops; organise alliance rallies rather than soloing.
  4. Farm respawned zombies — free PvE progress and event points while the map is active.
  5. Don't over-invest season-locked resources — anything that expires at season end (see below) should be spent before the season closes, not saved into the off-season.
Spend Expiring Season Resources First

Season-specific materials (for example Mutant Crystals and Immune Proteins in some seasons) disappear when the season ends. Use them before the chapter closes — do not carry them into the Queen's Revenge / off-season window expecting them to still be usable.

What Carries Over to Season 2

  • Season Store currency (Season Merit Medals) is cross-season — spend it in the Season Store; unspent medals carry forward.
  • Season-locked materials expire at season end — use them first.
  • Your base, heroes, gear, and tech all carry into the next season; the season "reset" is about the map and season-specific systems, not your account progress.
