Season 6 Context

The core mechanics in this guide are largely unchanged from prior seasons. VS in Season 6

Alliance Duel VS follows the same 6-day structure, but Season 6 creates the hardest resource trade-offs VS has ever demanded. You are now splitting resources between EW Lv20+ progression (Awakening prerequisite), Awakening Shard accumulation, VS saving (Day 5 speedups and Day 4 hero items), and your general progression. The War Merit economy adds a financial dimension to every VS decision.

The Season 6 VS Dilemma

Every resource you save for VS is a resource not pushing your EW Lv20+ progression or Awakening Shard accumulation. Speedups saved for Friday cannot accelerate your priority hero's EW level mid-week. Hero items saved for Thursday cannot boost your EW progression. Season 6 forces trade-offs previous seasons never demanded. The answer is not to skip VS — the rewards are too good. The answer is to be disciplined about exactly what you save and what you spend.

What Is Different in Season 6

Resource Competition with the War Merit Economy

Season 6's faction-warfare and Awakening systems create new resource tensions:

War Merit in the War Merit Shop can buy hero items (Day 4) and speedups — but that War Merit could fund EW Lv20+ progression instead, which gates Awakening
Faction supply runs and Altar captures generate War Merit but require troop commitments that compete with VS Day 6 readiness
Fungus Institute faction buffs need managing alongside VS preparation
Smart resource allocation is the difference between winning VS and falling behind in the broader S6 economy

Hero Awakening Reshapes Day 6

Day 6 combat is more lethal than ever with Hero Awakening unlocks across the season:

Kimberly Awakening (Week 1) turns Tank Day 6 rallies into ~3,501% Attack burst at maximum stacks
DVA Awakening (Week 3) raises Aircraft's already top-tier burst even higher
Tesla Awakening (Week 6) gives Missile its late-season power spike
The power gap between Awakened-carry squads and non-Awakened squads is the biggest single Day 6 differentiator in the game's history

Faction Buffs for Combat Days

Fungus Institute faction buffs are critical on Day 6:

Activate the Skill Damage faction buff before Day 6 combat for maximum burst
Activate the Troop Defence faction buff if defending against stronger opponents
A player with an active buff versus one without has a significant stat advantage
Never enter Day 6 combat without an active faction buff

Season 6 Day 5 Strategy

Day 5 remains your most consistent win condition. The waterfall training strategy with T11 troops generates massive points:

Save ALL speedups Monday through Thursday — this discipline is non-negotiable
T11 waterfall training earns more points per cycle than any previous season — see Waterfall Training
Do not spend speedups on Faction supply chain deliveries during VS week — those speedups are worth more as Day 5 training points
Coordinate alliance-wide — every member training on Friday
4x training multiplier makes this the most efficient day regardless of opponent strength

Faction-Buff Advantage on Day 6

Activate Before Every Fight

A player with the Skill Damage faction buff active and the matching class-specific buff has a significant stat advantage over a player without. On Day 6, this is the difference between winning a close fight and losing it. Every alliance member should have a faction buff active before the Day 6 window opens. Officers should remind the alliance 30 minutes before.

When to Shield in Season 6

Hero Awakening for the three carries widens power gaps further:

If your opponent has Awakened DVA and you run Tanks without an Aircraft counter, consider shielding non-counter-typed members
If your opponent has Awakened Kimberly and you cannot match her burst, shielding saves T11 troops vs taking the unwinnable fight
T11 troop losses are extremely expensive to replace — shielding is smarter than losing troops in unwinnable fights

Skipping faction buff for Day 6 combat — the stat advantage from Fungus Institute buffs is too large to ignore
Engaging without scouting for Awakened heroes — a Week 3+ DVA Awakening or Week 1+ Kimberly Awakening on the enemy side rewrites the matchup. Scout first
Using speedups on faction supply runs during VS week — those speedups are Day 5 points. Faction supply runs can wait
Ignoring the Saturday double-duty — Saturday is both Day 6 combat AND a major faction-warfare push window. Plan for both
