Season 6 Context

The core mechanics in this guide are largely unchanged from prior seasons. Zombie Siege in Season 6

Season 6 Zombie Siege features the strongest defensive squads in the game's history. T11 troops, the full Exclusive Weapon lineup, and faction-buff VR bonuses combine to make your alliance dramatically more capable. If your alliance is not pushing the highest available difficulty, you are leaving significant rewards on the table.

Push Maximum Difficulty

Season 6 gives you the strongest defensive tools ever. Murphy with Mitigation Master, T11 troops, faction-buff VR bonuses, Scarlett UR, and Hero Awakening for Kimberly/DVA/Tesla mean your garrison defence is at its peak. If you cleared high difficulty in Season 4, push 2-3 levels higher in Season 6.

What Is Different in Season 6

Faction-Buff VR Bonuses Affect Zombie Performance

The Fungus Institute buffs directly improve Zombie Siege performance:

Troop Defence faction buff — activate before Zombie Siege starts. Reduces damage taken from zombie waves
Troop HP faction buff — alternative to the Defence buff. Increases troop health pool for surviving more waves solo
VR component (+200 to +500) — the VR bonus alone strengthens your heroes against zombie attacks
Class-specific faction buffs enhance your garrison squad type further
Reminder: faction buffs are time-limited. Activate one with enough duration to last the entire event

Strongest Squads in History

The full weapon, awakening, and troop lineup makes Season 6 garrisons nearly impenetrable at lower difficulties:

T11 troops with dramatically higher HP and damage than T10
All Exclusive Weapons from S1-S5 at high levels from multiple seasons of investment
Hero Awakening for Kimberly (Week 1), DVA (Week 3), and Tesla (Week 6) — see the Hero Awakening Guide
Scarlett UR provides a strong defensive garrison option for Tank players
Most members should handle waves 1-12 solo without reinforcement

Economy Context

Zombie Siege rewards interact with the Season 6 economy:

Event rewards may include War Merit — reserve it for EW Lv20+ progression and Awakening Shards
Higher difficulty means better rewards, which accelerates your Awakening prep
Troop losses from Zombie Siege are expensive with T11 training costs — avoid unnecessary deaths by pushing appropriate difficulty

The test remains the same: Clear all 20 waves with 10+ minutes left = increase difficulty. Failing = decrease by 1-2.

Season 6 Reinforcement Strategy

Before the Event

Identify members who need reinforcement — the list should be very short in Season 6
Assign reinforcement providers — Murphy weapon holders are priority providers
Everyone activates Troop Defence or Troop HP faction buff — even members who will not need reinforcement
Coordinate faction buff timing — ensure buffs will last the full event duration

During the Event

The Faction Buff Garrison

A Murphy with Mitigation Master, T11 troops, and the Troop Defence faction buff active in garrison is the single most durable defensive position in the game. If your alliance has 3-4 members with this setup, assign them as dedicated reinforcement providers. Their own bases will survive without Murphy — they have T11 troops, faction buff buffs, and other weapon-equipped heroes to hold.

Season 6 Preparation Checklist

Brew Troop Defence or Troop HP faction buff — check duration covers the full event
Set your defence squad — strongest formation with T11 troops and all Exclusive Weapons equipped
Recall ALL troops — nothing on Faction supply chain escort, bank garrison, or marches
Heal all wounded troops — enter at full T11 strength
Coordinate reinforcement assignments — know who reinforces whom before wave 1
Stay online — communicate wave-by-wave status in alliance chat
Strong players volunteer to reinforce — your T11 + weapon + faction buff base will survive. Help teammates who need it

Common Season 6 Zombie Siege Mistakes

Not pushing difficulty — Season 6 power levels are the highest ever. If you clear with 15+ minutes left, increase difficulty
Forgetting to activate a faction buff — the Troop Defence faction buff before Zombie Siege is the easiest power increase available
Letting faction buff expire mid-event — check your buff timer. If it will expire during waves 15-20, brew a new one before the event
Not using Murphy for reinforcement — his Mitigation Master weapon in garrison is still the best defensive ability in the game
Leaving troops on Faction supply chain — recall everything for Zombie Siege
Not leveraging Fiona for reinforcement — her new weapon's Radiation DoT is excellent against high-HP late-wave zombies
Forgetting to set defence squad — still happens. Remind every time
